We have been keeping busy this winter season improving our product and building out key features in our events and member management modules. Keep reading to find out more!
Custom Registration Attributes
Earlier this fall we delivered a top feature request: attributes can now be set on tickets for simple events and conferences that may (or must!) be filled out during the registration flow.
These registration attributes can be configured to be saved to user profiles, or to only be surfaced in relation to the event; they also can be made required or optional. Admins can see the user-entered values by exporting the list of registrants, and users can see and update the information they entered by viewing their ticket on the Tradewing platform which they can access from the event details page.
External Online Events
Earlier this fall we released a big upgrade for our events offering: the ability to create events in Tradewing that are hosted on an external platform. Simply add the link to the platform where your event will be taking place, and at the start time Tradewing will send attendees to the virtual event location via the Join Now button.
RSVPs and registrations work the same as they always have, and we recently added support for uploading recordings of externally-hosted events. Navigate to the Recordings tab after the event or session has concluded, upload your recording and set it as available, and event attendees will be able to watch the video in the Tradewing platform.
External Id Editing Ability
Admins now have more power to intervene when members have problems accessing the community with the ability to modify the external id of any users created through integrations in the "Edit Account" modal on the user's detail page right on the admin site.
AMS Improvements
We also continue to add key functionality to our AMS and member management offering to enable you to provide your members with the best experience possible.
Automatic Corporate Membership Inheritance
Company Account Owners who purchase a Corporate Membership now automatically inherit their company's membership benefits, unless the Account Owner already has an active Individual Membership. We also now send the Account Owner directly to their company roster once the Corporate Membership is acquired to make adding other users who should inherit those benefits as seamless as possible.
Custom Welcome Emails
Customizing a welcome message for users who sign up for a particular type of membership is now possible in the Tradewing platform. Admins can visit the new Email Settings page under the General Settings tab and enter a default welcome message which will be sent for any Membership Type without a specific message set. And to set a special message for a particular type of Membership, scroll to the bottom of the details page for that Membership Type!
